Coursework And Programs

At PaulOfTars.us, we believe that advanced Biblical education should be open, accessible, and free. Our programs are designed to match the depth and rigor of graduate-level study, while remaining approachable for motivated learners from all backgrounds. Whether you are seeking personal growth, preparation for ministry, or a pathway toward doctoral-level expertise, our courses will guide you step by step.

How Our Programs Work

Our learning model follows a structured progression, carefully crafted to build both knowledge and critical skills:

  1. Individual Courses
PaulOfTars.us has many graduate level courses available to take free of charge. Each course can be taken independently of the rest. Select a course that interests you and begin taking it free of charge to support your pursuit of life long learning. Every course includes the ability to earn a Certificate of Completion after completing the course and passing the associated exams.
  2. Biblical Koine Greek Courses
One of the most rewarding pursuits for students truly desiring full access to the Gospel is to learn to read and write Koine Greek. Which is the original language that the New Testament was written in, and also the language that the oldest version of the Old Testament is available in. Our two Koine Greek courses provide you with the equivalent of 18 semester hours of graduate learning in Koine Greek. These courses include 48 weeks of instruction, powerful tools that teach you how to access and read 95% of the vocabulary found in the Bible, and extensive translation and reading exercises.
  3. Master’s Level Equivalent Certification
These courses form the foundation of our program. Students explore Biblical history, theology, hermeneutics, and the Greco-Roman context of the New Testament, while also learning research and writing methods. The goal is to provide a comprehensive framework of study that is both academically demanding and spiritually enriching.

Thirteen courses are included for an equivalent of 39 semester hours. Together these courses consist of 284 lessons, 130 weeks of instruction, a half-million words in articles, 1,420 optional assignments, a complete ancient Greek language program, 120 quizzes, 12 course exams, and a full Masters Level Final Examination. You can pick which courses you want to complete and earn individual certificates of completion, or you can complete them all, take the final exam, and earn a Masters level certificate for the entire program.
  4. Doctoral-Level Equivalent Certification
For advanced learners, we offer coursework that moves beyond knowledge acquisition into research and scholarship. Students are trained to evaluate primary sources, engage with scholarly debates, and begin crafting original contributions to the field of Biblical Studies.

Six courses are included for an equivalent of 60 semester hours. Together these courses consist of 62 lessons, 58 weeks of instruction, 200,000 words in articles, 248 optional assignments, advanced Greek exegesis, 3 course exams, a full Doctoral Level Final Examination, PhD dissertation writing, and PhD Dissertation defense. You can pick which courses you want to complete and earn individual certificates of completion, or you can complete them all, take the final exam, and earn a D.Th or PhD level certificate for the entire program.
  5. Certificates of Completion
While our courses are free to take, learners who wish to demonstrate their achievements can earn certificates for a modest administrative fee. These certificates can validate progress and, in some cases, may be recognized toward degree programs at partnering institutions.
